MORRIS, Richard F.came into this world on July 29,1928 and left this world on November 17, 1016. Between these two dates Richard served our country in the Marines for six years and the Army for 17 years. He retired as a Major, the name many have come to know him as, i.e. Major Morris. Richard served our country in WWII and the Korean War. Among the many awards achieved, he was awarded the Bronze Star for his valor and bravery in a battle that took place on Pork Chop Hill Korea. Lt Morris led his platoon through an intense fire from the enemy and positioned his men to bring indirect fire on the enemy while exposing himself to heavy artillery fire. His superiors called his leadership heroic. The major was Married to BoBae for 49 years, she was the love of his life and lived to love and care for her. He raised two beautiful and successful daughters June and Violet.
