Richard E. Bray, 87, Anderson, died September 3, 2009 at Community Northview, Anderson after a brief illness. He was born November 17, 1921 in Dewey, Illinois, and resided in Anderson most of his life. Richard attended school in southern Illinois. He retired from Anderson Community Schools. Richard was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Foster Bray; children, George Bea Bray of Anderson and Virginia James C. Harvey of Kentucky; half brother, James Marlene Bray of Vandalia, Illinois; half sisters, Neva Lee David Casstevens of Olney, Illinois and T. Louise Price of Waverly, Illinois; grandchildren, Mark Darcy Bray, Michelle Rob Ottaviano, Doug Lori Harvey, Rick Jodi Harvey, Ron Jami Davis, John Davis, Sean Peggy Davis and Mike Buffy Davis; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Ellis & Thelma Bray; mother, Rabie Evelyn Mulvaney Richmond; daughter, Anna Earleen Davis; siblings, Ross E. Bray, Nolan Eugene Bray, Deloris Bray and Darlene Bray and half brother, Henry Bray.
