Richard E. Anderson, 78, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2013 in Union Hospital surrounded by his family. Richard was born July 11, 1935 in Illinois to Harlan Anderson and Ethel Davis Anderson. He was owner and founder of R.E. Anderson and Associates in Terre Haute, specializing in interior design, R.E. Anderson was the first to offer interior design in the Wabash Valley. He was a member of the Noon Optimists and was a three time recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was a long time member of the Country Club of Terre Haute and was an avid Golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Gerald Anderson and Joseph Anderson and one sister, Emilita Butts. He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Anderson of Washington, North Carolina, one son, Richard E. Anderson II of Terre Haute. Two brothers; John Anderson of Arkansas and Larry Anderson of New Mexico. Three grandchildren; Sean Eric Nathan, Courtney Lynn Anderson and Mari-Elizabeth Deanna Nuckols; a great grandchild, Mylee Erwin and many Nieces and Nephews.
