Richard “Dick” M. Finley age 79, of Ashland, died Saturday September 17, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born in Ashland on January 5, 1932, the son of Howard and Luella (Wessell) Finley. Mr. Finley lived all of his life in Ashland. He had worked in maintenance for Samaritan Regional Health System and for the Coburn Corp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had served in the Korean Conflict on the USS Kearsage. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the AmVets. Mr. Finley was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed softball, bowling and attending the Ashland County Fair.
Survivors include his daughter’s and son in- law, Beckie Parsons of Perrysville, Laurie Finley of Lexington, Kim Finley of Mansfield, Mindy (Keith) Finley- Berry of Georgia; sister, Carol Lewis of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Heidi (Rod), Chance Richard, Heather, Hollie, Hanna, Tyler; along with his great grandchildren, Chloe Matz and Brody Matz.
