Richard “Dick” Barry Hines, Sr., 70, of Cromwell, died suddenly at his home on Oct. 10th. Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of late William Hines and Susan (Veinot) Peabody. Richard had lived in Norwich most of his life, moving to Cromwell four years ago. He is survived by a son, Richard B. Hines, Jr. and his wife Amy of Stonington; a daughter, Amy Dzurka and her husband Jon of Cromwell; a stepdaughter, Alicia Boisvert of Hookssett, NH; four sisters, Susan Sawyer of MD, Jessie Haines of MD, Mary Plummer of MA, Myrle Phaneuf of MA; four grandchildren, Tia Hines, Sydney Dzurka, Richard B. Hines, III, Robert Dzurka; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Hines.
