Richard D. Jones, 78, Anderson, passed away July 10, 2012 at Carmel Health and Living Facility after a brief illness.
He was born October 12, 1933 in Wabash, Indiana, and resided in Anderson. He graduated from Anderson High School and General Motors Institute and worked for Delco Remy for 41 years. Richard served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Jones was active in the United Way and the Anderson Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing bridge, running and playing tennis. Richard received a heart transplant 16 years ago.
He is survived by his son; Mark Jones Julie, Fishers and grandchildren; Vivian Jones and Brock Jones.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Leroy & Ada Lavengood Jones and one brother; Steve Jones.
