Richard D. Bannon, 77, went to rest with his Lord and Savior on February 19, 2005 at Veteran’s Hospital, Marion after an extended illness.
He was born April 5, 1927 in Gas City, IN. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1982 after 38 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the WWII from 1944-1946 in the South pacific and on Quadal canal. He had been a member of Mounds Baptist Church for 50 years before joining East Lynn Christian Church where he was very active. He was a member of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge # 77 F. & A. M. Indianapolis Scottish Rite, Murat Temple, Madison County Shrine Club, Eagles, lifetime member of the VFW, and American Legion.
He is survived by his Wife, whom he married on June 28, 1998, Loyce Ann. Brother: Ronald Linda Bannon. Step-children: Cynthia Marshall White, Bradley J. Harvey, James T. Harvey, Al Denise Rossetti, Dawn M. Rossetti,. Katherine Peter Reese, James A. Misty Gardiner. Step-grandson: Jeffrey Suzan Hardin. Step greatgrandchildren: Lindsey Hill, Aaron, Casey, and Sarah Hardin, Jackie Rose Harvey, Michael and Nicholas Rossetti and Chyanne Marie Gardiner.
He was preceded by his First Wife, Phyllis Bannon. Parents: Everett and Geneva Hildred McClintock Bannon.
