Richard Bierhaus, 65 years, of Virginia, IL died Friday morning, February 8, 2008 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, IL.
He was born August 16, 1942 in Beardstown, IL; the son of Earl Edward and Mildred Lucille Cox Bierhaus. He married Mary Mouck on August 16, 1989 at the First Baptist Church in Virginia, IL and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Tracy Bierhaus of Beardstown; a step son, Bobby Maltby (wife, Jamie) of Beardstown; a step daughter, Linda Ladd (fianc©, Arthur McCulley) of Beardstown; a granddaughter, Lauren Knous of Beardstown; six step grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Bierhaus.
Mr. Bierhaus was a 1961 graduate of Virginia High School and served with the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Following his military service, he farmed in Cass County and worked at M&L Feed Mill. He has been disabled for several years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Virginia and enjoyed visiting with friends at the Depot Restaurant in Virginia.
