Richard B. Turner, a resident of Cottonwood Care Center in Brighton, Colorado, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, Colorado. He was born June 16, 1951, in Afton, Wyoming to Henry and Wilda (Barrus) Turner. He attended High School at Meritt Hutton High School in Thornton, CO.

Richard’s passion was music. He was happiest when he was playing his guitar, giving music lessons, performing before a crowd, jamming with fellow musicians, or writing music and lyrics. He was well known for his performances with Patrice LeBlanc in Shanti, entertaining crowds in the Denver-Metro area. A few of his many interests, skills, and artistic talents were raising pigeons, caregiving, carpentry, construction and remodeling, stained glass, and parquetry.

Survivors include his parents, Henry and Wilda Turner of Montpelier, ID; children, Michael (Kiku) Turner of Arvada, Colorado, Julia Turner of Pensacola, Florida, Rachyl (Geoffery Boux) Turner of Boulder, Colorado, Branden Turner, Arvada, Colorado; brothers and sisters, David (Lois) Turner of Cove, Utah, Christine (Curt) Larsen of Kersey, Colorado, Kevin (Gwen) Turner of Bern, Idaho, Joel (Adele) Turner of Chubbuck, ID, Colorado, Luani (Steve) Bruyere of Cascade, Montana, and Martha (Paul) Vinck of Logan, Utah; 5 grandchildren, Alex, Paul, Danika, Alyssa, and Emelie; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
