Richard Allen Wertz, 81 of Murrysville passed away, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Murrysville Rehab and Wellness Center.
He was born November 28, 1935 in Greensburg, PA, a son of the late Daniel G. and Hazel (Lynch) Wertz.
“Dick” worked with his family owned business, The Parkwood Inn, then as a Maintenance Supervisor, “Mr fix it ” for St. Anne Home.
Dick enjoyed square dancing , camping, tinkering in his workshop, bird watching and loved animals. Making sure all the family pets got their gifts at holidays too!
His pride and joy are his daughters, Cindy Hohman and her husband, Eric of Alva, FL, Robin E. Giron of Greensburg. His 6 grandchildren, Benjamin Capets, Melissa Capets, Katie (Capets) Kachmar and husband, Steven, Hannah Capets, Amy Giron, and Holly Giron. He is also fondly remembered by his first wife, Roberta R. Wertz.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Murrysville Rehab and wellness center for all the unconditional love and care of “Wertzy” /dad.
His spirit and love will be missed.
