Richard A. Fitzpatrick, age 72, loving and dedicated husband and father, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016. Richard was known for his great love for Jesus Christ and passion for the needs of others. Richard was a contractor and general builder for 50 years; the first 20 years were in New England followed by 30 years here in Albuquerque. After Richard retired, he worked at Home Depot, where he taught workshops to the public and was available to answer customer questions concerning tools, building, and construction issues. Richard was also known for his guest appearances on a weekly call-in radio program as well as a local TV show called “Educating N.M.” where he answered questions related to using tools or working on projects.

Richard was passionately involved in three Outreach Ministries; Love ABQ, Interfaith Church, and Beyond Borders, each of which ministered to the needs of homeless and destitute people.

Richard is survived by his wife, Marge; sons, Richard and Robert; stepchildren, Lindsey and Bennett; cousin, Carol; and two granddaughters. Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lilly Pathos; and mother, Arlene Fitzpatrick.
