She retired after many years as a judicial assistant for former Judge Thomas M. Langston at the Polk County Courthouse. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Aiton, her sister, Orinne McDonald and her brothers, Robert Struve, David Struve, Paul Struve and Orin Naeve.
