REX E. REDDING OF FOREST, OHIO PASSED AWAY IN HIS HOME ON APRIL 6, 2023 JUST ONE MONTH SHY OF HIS 88TH BIRTHDAY. HE WAS BORN MAY 1, 1935 TO THE LATE CHARLES O. REDDING AND HORTENSE {PATCHET) REDDING.  REX WAS A 1954 GRADUATE OF MARSEILLES HIGH SCHOOL WHERE HE PLAYED BASKETBALL, BASEBALL AND RAN TRACK. BEING A FARM BOY, HE WAS ALSO VERY ACTIVE IN FFA AND 4-H. FOLLOWING GRADUATION, REX JOINED THE US ARMY RESERVES AND ON FEBRUARY 20, 1960, HE MARRIED HIS HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART PATTY ROSE AND SHE SURVIVES.
 REX IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HIS DAUGHTER; KIM SNOWDEN AND HER HUSBAND; TRENT OF WAYNE, HIS SON; BRETT REDDING AND HIS WIFE; DEB OF KENTON. GRANDCHILDREN; SHANE, EVAN, LINDSEY, EMILY, KYLIE, LUKE, AND TREG. GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; LELAND, MILA, LAYLIN, BAISLEY, BRAXIN, BRIX, BRAYDON, OWEN, AUDRENA, OLLIVER, AND PARKER. AND SPECIAL COMPANION AND SHADOW – ROSCOE.
HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A DAUGHTER; STACY L. BOECHER, SISTER-IN-LAW; BERTHA MAE (HARTLE) ROSE, BROTHERS-IN-LAW; LESTER HENSEL, JUSTINE WOLFORD, AND ARTHUR ROSE.
REX WAS THE OWNER OF D&R REFUSE WHICH WAS IN BUSINESS FOR 31 YEARS. HE SHOWED SPOTTED PIGS AND ANGUS CATTLE WITH HIS DAD AND PASSED HIS LOVE OF PIGS AND SHOWING TO HIS KIDS WHO PASSED IT TO THEIR KIDS. THE LESSONS AND LEGACY OF COUNTYLINE SPOTS AND REDDING SPOT FARM WILL CONTINUE.
REX WAS A MEMBER OF THE MARSEILLES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, THE OHIO SPOT ASSOCIATION, WHERE HE SERVED AS SECRETARY TREASURER, A MEMBER OF THE ANTIQUES MACHINERY ASSOCIATION, THE WARPOLE CHAPTER OF THE MASONIC BLUE LODGE, AND RAWSON CHAPTER ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR.
