Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Evelyn; brother, Myron. Survived by brother, Leon (Susan) Vogt; nephews, Michael, Stephen, Thomas, Jon and James; friend and longtime companion, Paul Schroeder. Upon graduation from St. Louis Seminary Pastor Vogt served as assistant pastor at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in St. Paul. He subsequently served over forty years as pastor at St. James Lutheran Church in South Minneapolis.
