Reva E. Swanstrom, 90, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Monday afternoon, April 6, 2009. Reva was born September 10, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana to Louis and Minnie (Kramer) Unruh. Her family moved to Three Oaks in 1920. She continued to live in Three Oaks for her entire life. She graduated from Three Oaks High School in 1936, and on June 28, 1941 she married John Kenneth Swanstrom in South Haven, Michigan.
They were married for 60 years. John preceded her in death on July 28, 2002. Reva was employed as a clerk at the Three Oaks Pharmacy for years before retiring in 1997. Reva was a member of the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks where she was a past member of the Women’s Guild Committee.Reva leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kay Swanstrom of Three Oaks; grandson, John E. Swanstrom of Three Oaks; and her brother, Lyle Unruh of Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Thelma Schmidt and Luetta Bremer.
