REV. VANDE VORD, Robert A. “Bob” Kalamazoo Robert passed away Thursday evening, April 30, 2015 at the age of 58. He was born October 30, 1956 in Detroit, MI. Bob was adopted by Floyd and Jean Dykstra VandeVord on April 3, 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force from May of 1975 until honorably discharged in June of 1981, at the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Robert pastored at three churches, Third Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, First Reformed Church in Hospers, IA and Silver Creek Reformed Church in Silver Creek, MN. Robert is survived by his children, Heather Colin Jenkins, Andy VandeVord and Michael Jen VandeVord; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel, Hannah, Matt, Tommy and Calvin; his mother, Jean VandeVord; sister, Judy VandeVord; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd.
