Rev. Richard B. Bennett, age 86, of Buena, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. He was born on February 22, 1922, in Belmar, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Bennett.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary-Ellen Harris, of Elverson, PA, his sons, Rev. Timothy Bennett (Peggy), of Binghamton, NY, and Rev. Thomas Bennett (Bonita), of Burlington, NJ, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Mr. Bennett pastored several Baptist churches in New Jersey and had a lengthy post-retirement ministry, serving 12 congregations as interim pastor, the last of which was the First Baptist Church of Vineland, concluding in December of 2007.
