Rev. Wells, 82, Ringgold, Ga., was born in Ringgold, October 25, 1930, passed away, February 18, 2013. Rev. Wells grew up in the Boynton Community in Catoosa, County Georgia. He was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County and Walker County Georgia. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School, The University of Chattanooga, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Mercer University. He taught and coached at Ringgold High School (football, girls basketball, boxing) and Lafayette High School (football, girls basketball, boxing) during the 1950s and 1960s. In 1952 he accepted Christ as his savior and two years later he responded to God’s call to enter Christian ministry.
