Reverend Pauline Aniton Graves Carr was born May 5, 1912 in Oneonta, Alabama. Reverend Carr was one of seven children born to Rafus and Emma Aniton. She passed peacefully in her sleep, at home with her granddaughter, Renee and Doug Hawk and family Sunday, August 11, 2013.

Reverend Carr was ordained as a Methodist Minister and served faithfully for over 60 years. She was devoted to her family, her faith and her friends throughout her lifetime.

Reverend Carr married and raised four sons, Millard Graves (Pearl), Verbon Graves (Lee Etta deceased), Nylon Graves (Dorothy) and Nolan Graves (Diane).

She is survived by one sister Hattie Hughes, a brother David Graves; four sons, thirty-four grandchildren, sixty-five great-grandchildren and eighty-nine great-great grandchildren – and counting…

Reverend Carr lived in Flemingsburg, KY for over twenty years and ministered several different churches throughout Kentucky. Several years after her retirement from the ministry she moved and spent her remaining years with family in Louisville. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Flemingsburg and more recently Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church in Louisville.
