Salem Rev. Dr. Haymond R. Plaugher Haymond R. Plaugher, 82, of Salem, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. He was born December 5, 1927 on Hunter’s Fork in Doddridge County, a son of the late Rev. C. E. and Buie Plaugher. He became acquainted early in life with Bible study and was converted at the age of eleven. He was soon fascinated with end time prophecies of which he has made lifetime study. After receiving a B.A. degree in English at Salem College, he then acquired a M.A. in Education Administration at West Virginia University and then a Doctor of Theology (Eschatology) at Mountain State Baptist College in Salem, WV where he taught Bible prophecy. He served the Lord through over 50 years of pastoring country churches. He was a gifted poet and penned beautiful verses which will be forever treasured by his family.
