Rev. Colen V. Davis, age 93, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Parrie McDaniel Davis; sisters, Florene Ashworth and Jettie Overby; and brother, Leon Davis.
Rev. Davis is survived by his wife of seventy-six years, Nelle King Davis, Buford, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Luther Smith, Sugar Hill, GA, Joyce and Randall Heard, Cumming, GA, Judy, and Kenneth Gravitt, Sugar Hill, GA and Jean, and John Tucker, Gainesville, GA; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie Bell Davis Graham, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rev. Davis was born February 17, 1927, in Buford, GA.
He operated a shoe repair shop in Tom’s Shoe Store and was a retired machinist. He was a Ham Radio operator and he was an avid Braves Baseball fan. Rev. Davis was a member of Buford Church of God in Buford, GA for over sixty-plus years.
