Prospect – Renate Jones, age 74, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the home of her son in Prospect, CT.
Renate (Renee) was born in Kénigshé¼tte, Germany on April 16, 1940 a daughter of the late Conrad Kwiecinski and Else Nee Birner. She was retired from ESCO Inc. in Stratford, CT where she had worked as an office manager for many years and recently retired from Sunshine Realty in Barefoot Bay, Florida. She enjoyed Dancing, shuffleboard, crossword puzzles, swimming and the beach.
Renate is survived by four sons: Corey Jones and his wife Corinne of Prospect, Robert Jones and his wife Terry of Prospect, Jesse Jones and his wife Dawn of North Carolina, and Timothy Jones and his wife Tammy of Coconut Creek, Florida, a sister: Rita Mé¼ller, 8 grandchildren: Michael Jones, Amanda Jones, Amber Jones, Mikayla Jones, Olivia Jones, Michelle Jones, Melanie Jones and Tina Schmelcke, a great grandson: Jacob Schmelcke, her former husband: Jesse Jones of Barefoot Bay, Florida and her close cousins, who were like sisters to her, Sylvia Hope and Lydia Berggold.
