Rena Lawson Everett, 68, of Atlanta, died peacefully in her residence with her four children by her side on February 2, 2015. Rena was born on March 3, 1946, in New Orleans to Gladys Adair Bridges Lawson and Joseph Howard Lawson.

Rena was an extraordinary beauty inside and out. She was crowned Miss Empyrean at Newnan High School and won the Best Actress award, before her career as Rich’s top model electrifying the Fashionata Runway at the Fox Theater. Rena was a member of the Cherokee Rose Chapter of the Daughter of the American Revolution and volunteered with the Junior League of Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Joseph Howard Lawson, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Rena Ann Peck Stricker, Rhonda Adair O’Gorman, Travis Ingram Peck, and Tiffany Peck Dougherty, of Atlanta, her sister, Ann Adair Lawson (Jon) Armstrong of Lookout Mountain, and her grandchildren, Roxie Elizabeth Stricker, Lawson Bridges Stricker, Everett Attridge O’Gorman, Elizabeth Adair O’Gorman, Monroe Bridges Peck, and Walter Redmond Dougherty.
