Remzi Lepi, 66, of Southbury, CT died Friday, July 29, at Hartford Hospital with his wife, Geraldine (Lessard), mother Irene, daughter Katie, and son-in-law, Jeff, by his side.
Mr. Lepi was born on April 16, 1945, in Waterbury, CT., son of Irene and the late Ymer X. Lepi. He graduated in 1963 from Crosby High School in Waterbury, CT.
He worked at Colonial Bank prior to working for twenty years at Waterbury Hospital. As the produce manager, he could be found greeting the many customers of Labonne’s Supermarket in Woodbury.
Remzi was a truly unique force of nature with unbridled joy and love in his heart for those lucky enough to have met him. From his passion for classic cars to wildlife to his cutting sense of humor, he loved chatting with anyone about anything, and made an impact everywhere he went.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring son and brother, and friend to many. He was a dependable and wonderfully selfless man who never ran out of love to give.
Besides his wife of 43 years, daughter Katie, and son-in-law Jeff, he is survived by his mother, Irene V. Lepi; his brother, Sherif Y. Lepi; his sister, Janet I. Lepi; numerous aunts and cousins, and his beloved dog, Lulu.
His family and friends will forever miss his clever wit, wise guidance, and warm embrace. You left us far too soon ‘sir’ but the long struggle is over and we all deeply miss you and will play catch together again soon.
