Remy Pharel Thelusma was born on February 22, 1952, in Basseterre, Haiti to Cherisa Paul and Felix Thelusma. He completed his primary studies at St Antoine School in Gonaives. He left Haiti for St Maarten at the age of twenty-five and had lived there for ten years.

In 1987, after a long 10-year experience on the Island, Remy decided to come to the United States of America. He worked as a Purchasing Clerk at Hilton hotel in Short Hills, NJ to provide for his family. His sense of caring touched his family, including everyone he encountered. Remy loved basketball and football, and he particularly loved to watch wrestling with his friends.

On May 22nd, Remy was called home to be with the Lord after a long illness. He took his last breath at Alaris Health at St Mary’s Rehabilitation in Orange, NJ. He is survived by his wonderful wife, Marie Abelica Thelusma; his three daughters, Carmen Thelusma, Roselene Thelusma, and Andremen Volcy; his loving grandchildren, Noryorky Jean, Kelly Jean, Harry Jean, Anunsky Jean, Irwin Jean, Remaya Volcy, Renielle Volcy and Reyanna Volcy; his brothers and sisters, Joseph Saint Jean Thelusma, Marie Nie Thelusma, Schadrack Saint Hillien Thelusma, and Felicienne Thelusma; his nephews and nieces, Almeida Thelusma, Dukelly Thelusma, Olrith Thelusma, Marie Josee Saint Villien, Rose Clarden Jean Pierre Thelusma, Guetchmyr Jean Pierre Thelusma, Shadahens Jean Pierre Thelusma, Schaclarde Jean Pierre Thelusma, Ramsley Jean Pierre Thelusma, Francesca Thelusma Pierre, and Francisco Thelusma Pierre.

The family extend their sincere gratitude towards Alaris Health at St Mary’s Rehabilitation for their loving care and support during Remy’s final days.

Remy will be forever remembered.

May his soul rest in peace!
