Rema Irene Carpenter, 80, of Anderson, passed away on November 10, 2012 at St. Johns Health System Anderson.
She was born March 13, 1932 in Albany, Kentucky and resided most of her life in Anderson. She was a Homemaker, provided home health care and was the family chef.
Irene was a Breast Cancer Survivor.
Irene is survived by her children, Kathy Roger Ockomon of North Webste:r; Dave fiance Rita McGuire of Pendleton; Mike Tina McGuire of Anderson; and Tina Mike McNabb of Chesterfield,;grandchildren, Brianne Ed Wright, Elgian McGuire, Donny fiance Mariah Steger, Zeb Michelle McGuire, MaKenzie McGuire, Carrie Ockomon-Jenkins, Ryan Candice Ockomon, Jason McNabb, Trista McNabb, Michael McNabb, and 13 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lee Carpenter, who was an Army Veteran killed in his tour of duty in Vietnam; father, Floyd Polston, mother, Mary Mills Polston, and a grandson, Chip Walker.
