VAN OOSTERUM, Reinard, Jr. “Sparky” Comstock passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Sparky was born on the 4th of July, 1952, a son of Reinard, Sr. and Lena Weststrate Van Oosterum and was a lifelong resident of the area. He had worked for Quality Greenhouses for 35 years and was a member of the Comstock Christian Reformed Church.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was active on a bowling team. Sparky is survived by his parents, Reinard, Sr. and Lena; a sister, Linda Bruce Prince of Portage; a brother, Robert J. Van Oosterum of Portage; several cousins; and special family friends, the Vanderweele’s.
