Loving Mother and Grandmother
Rebecca Quintana, 85, passed away, Monday, May 24, 2010 at Casa Arena Blanca Nursing Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born June 6, 1924 in Ilfeld, NM to Ignacio and Manuelita Benavidez Rivera. She was a member of St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. She was a homemaker all of her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Antonio Quintana in 1987; four sons, Allen, Joe, Felix and Johnny Quintana; one brother, Frank Rivera and one sister, Aurelia Baca.
She is survived by her children, Helen Chavez of Tularosa, Richard Quintana and wife Beatrice of Alamogordo, Albert Quintana and wife Debbie of Ruidoso, Floyd Quintana and Maggie of Tularosa and Frances Sainz and husband Mike of Las Cruces; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Celina Baca of Ilfield, NM; brother, Salomon Rivera of California.
