Rebecca L. “Becky” Patrick, 60 of Gilmore City, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at her home in Gilmore City. Rebecca Patrick, the daughter of Jim and Laura (Zeman) Hodgell was born November 14, 1948 in Laurens, Iowa. She married Charles Patrick April 1, 1980 in Hannibal, Missouri. The couple lived in Vincent, Iowa before moving to Gilmore City in 1981 where they have continued to live. Survivors include her parents, Jim and Laura Hodgell of Gilmore City; children: Tag Clarken, Fort Dodge, Stormy Smothers, Manson, Tyler Clarken, Peoria, Ill, Waylon Patrick, Mt. Pleasant, and Jesse Patrick, Colorado; sisters: Ellen Williams, Lees Summit, Mo, Kathy Saathoff, Gilmore City, Barbara Eccles, Manson, and Lena Eyrich, Fort Dodge,; Brothers: Jim Hodgell, Laurens, Alex Hodgell, North Liberty, mother in law Vanetta Lund, Eagle Grove, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Pat”, brother Paul and son James.
