Muncie-Rebecca J. “Becky” Landers, 76, passed away Friday afternoon, February 18, 2011, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on December 14, 1934 in Muncie, the daughter of Harry E. and Lena M. (Gilland) Landers.
Rebecca had obtained a General Education Diploma through IVY Technical College and worked for the Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) for 22yrs., last serving as a Supervisor.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca A. Landers, Muncie; one granddaughter, Katie Landers, Muncie; two grandsons, Ryan and Seth Landers, both of Muncie; one sister, Pastor Peggy Whited (husband-Donald), Muncie; three special daughters, Debbie Ring and Holly Barnes (husband-Mike), both of Muncie and Beth Hollowell (husband-Gary), Bluffton; two special Nieces, Haley Barnes, Muncie and P.J. Ring, Albany; three special nephews, Jakob Barnes and Donnie Ring both of Muncie and Tyler Ring (wife-Rachell), Albany; a special great niece, Mia, Albany; special friend, Pastor Doris Westerman (husband-David), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Iris Bright, Norma Brown, Carolyn Landers and Mary Vincent; four brothers, Robert, Harry, John and Gale Landers.
