Rebecca “Becky” Jones, 69, of Spirit Lake passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake. Becky was born on December 12, 1949, in Cameron, MO to Bill and Geneva “Nema” (Rice) Gibson.
She graduated from high school in Emmetsburg, IA, and furthered her education at the Spencer School of Business, and later earned her degree from Iowa Lakes Community College in Nursing Home Administration. She was united in marriage to Art Jones on July 26, 1969, in Emmetsburg, IA. In Becky’s free time, she enjoyed caring for her cats, watching birds, reading, and planting and tending her flower garden. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Art Jones of Spirit Lake; son Brad Jones of Spirit Lake; daughter Michele (Doug) Hayes of LaVista, NE; grandson Maximus Jones of Spirit Lake; brother Steve (Nancy) Gibson of Emmetsburg, IA; Jeff Gibson of Council Bluffs, IA; and sister Jennifer (Walt) Faber of Spring Hills, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
