Reba Ruth Sheffield, age 82, passed away peacefully in Boise on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
Reba was born on September 4, 1932 in Lenoir, NC to Claude Nelson Kirby and Ruth Blankenship Kirby. Her family moved to Florida in 1947.
On June 10, 1949 she married Elliott Aunzel Sheffield in Tampa, Florida. Together they had five children and enjoyed 59 years of abiding love.
Reba was not only a beloved wife, mother and homemaker but also ran Regency Construction with her husband, Elliott, for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Daryl Keith Sheffield and a daughter, Deborah Sheffield Roper; a sister Margaret Kirby Hendry and a brother, Jimmy Kirby.
Reba is survived by her son Elliott Sheffield Jr. and his wife Marilyn Sheffield; her daughter Patty Sheffield Owings; her son Blair Sheffield; a son-in-law James Roper (husband of Deborah Sheffield Roper) all of Boise; and a sister-in-law DeeAnn Kirby (wife of Jimmy Kirby) of Tampa, FL. She was blessed with fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
