Rea Schultz, the son of Ferdinand and Mae (Morrison) Schultz, was born May 2, 1917 on a farm near Kellogg. He was raised there and attended Kellogg country schools. Rea was a farmer, and called the farm where he was born home all his life.
Rea enjoyed trapping, hunting, and fishing in Minnesota.
Rea died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Hospice of Jasper County’s Monarch Wing in Newton. He was 91. Rea was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy and Vernon Schultz; and a sister in infancy.
