Raymond W. Bellarosa, 72, of Fort Pierce, FL, a former a lifelong resident of Bayville, Berkeley Twp, NJ, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Ray was a New Jersey State Trooper for many years, retiring as Sergeant.
He also worked for the State of New Jersey as an Assistant Director for Public Safety and Occupational Safety and Health. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW, Bayville, NJ, where he served as House Chairman; the American Legion in Florida; the Bayville Elks, and the Former Troopers Association. Ray was preceded in death by his father Raymond Bellarosa Sr., mother Rose Wilson, and son, Raymond Bellarosa III.
He is survived by his loving partner Rosie Canfield of Fort Pierce, FL; son James Louis Bellarosa of Ketchikan, AK; daughters Barbra “Bobbie” Costello of Bayville, NJ, Kimberly “Kimmy” McBee of Boiling Springs, PA, Jodi Garrison of Juneau, AK, Tracy Sgro of NY, Kim Deveney of Shamong, NJ, and Jeanie Canfield of Collingdale, PA; sisters Anne Ferry of Oro Valley, AZ, Patricia Poucher of Escondido, CA, and Sheila Williams of Otto, NC; daughter-in-law Janet Bellarosa of Colchester, CT; nine grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
