Raymond T. Robinson, 96, of North Liberty, Indiana passed away on Saturday June 4, 2022. He was born on September 14, 1925 in Grange, England to the late Thomas and Elsie (Winder) Robinson. Raymond married Mavie H. Trelore in 1949 and she preceded him in death in 1985. He went on later in life to marry Bonnie Haedtler who preceded him in death in 1995 Raymond was also preceded in death by one son in law, David Lichtenbarger, one grandson, Johnny Kopkowski, one sister, Edith Burrows and one brother, Ronald Robinson. He is survived by three daughters; Susan (Victor) Butcher of South Bend, Indiana, Jennifer Robinson of South Bend, Indiana, Janette Lichtenbarger of North Liberty, Indiana, two sons, Thomas E. (Debra) Robinson of South Bend, Indiana, William L. (Tricia) Robinson of South Bend, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, Dr. Kristy Stewart, Thomas Robinson II, Westly Butcher, Maurice Butcher, Monica Robinson, Amanda Robinson, David Lichtenbarger II, Ashley Mann, Dr. Austin Robinson, Gabrielle Robinson and Gracey Robinson, fourteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Leonard (Judy) Robinson, Maurice (Margaret) Robinson and one sister in law, Nola Robinson.

Raymond and his first wife Mavie came to the United States together from England in 1949. Together they raised five children. Raymond was a self taught historian who loved to read. He enjoyed gardening. One of his lifelong hobbies was playing bagpipes with the Caledonia Kilty Band out of Mishawaka. One of his talents was being able to memorize and recite numerous poems throughout his life. Later in life he married Bonnie and they enjoyed traveling to various worldwide destinations. Every year at his church he would read all of the Children “The Night Before Christmas”.
