Raymond “Ray†Bernard Wilson, 90, of 1019 Mountain Road, Martinsville, VA died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Blue Ridge Rehab. Center, Martinsville,VA. He was born on March 6, 1920 in Oakdale, Louisiana to the late Henry Moody Wilson and Maude Coleman Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant sister, Lena Marie Wilson; brothers, Horace Wilson and Leo Wilson and son-in-law, Joe Finley. Mr. Wilson was a charter member of Chatham Heights United Methodist Church. He retired from E. I. DuPont, Inc. as a supervisor after 30 years service and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Also, Mr. Wilson was a member and past Post Commander both of the Disabled American Vets and American Legion Post 42. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Hester Cannaday Wilson of the home, daughter, Phyllis Finley of Kingsport, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Wilson and Betty Wilson and Ken Wilson and Martha Wilson all of Martinsville, VA; grandchildren, Ben Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC, Josh Finley of Philadelphia, PA, Scot Wilson and Beth Wilson both of Martinsville, VA and Jessica Mullins of Johnson City, TN and great-grandchildren Chandler Wilson, Kendel Wilson and Parker Lusk.
