Raymond Newton “Ray” Sumner, 52, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
He was born Aug. 17, 1958, in Gary to Raymond J. and Lavergne C. (Johnson) Sumner.
Surviving are his mother, Lavergne C. Sumner of Elkhart; and sons Christopher Hutchings of Okeechobee, Fla., and Nick and Shawn Sumner of Gary.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Sumner.
