Raymond M. Alvarez, 64, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 20, 2010. He was born January 4, 1946 in Lancaster, PA, the son of the late Phyllis O’Connor and the foster son of Thelma Hagy of East Petersburg, PA. Ray had served in the U.S. Army and has been a longtime resident of Bristol. Besides his foster mother, Thelma, he is survived by his former wife, of thirty-five years, Jacqlyn (Swinehart) Alvarez of Bristol; his two children, Hilary Kalahan and her husband, Sean, of Bristol and Benjamin Alvarez and his wife, Sarah, of Bristol; his seven grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Donavin, Elizabeth, Alysha, Alex, and Jackson; his sister, Judith Jones of PA; several foster sisters and brothers; several nieces and nephews.
