Mr. Ortiz was born in Bridgeport on April 13, 1975 son of Raymond Carl Ortiz of Seymour and the late Lillian (Crutch) Ortiz. He worked as a cutter – grinder at State Cutter Grinding in Seymour.
In addition to his father, Mr. Ortiz is survived by a daughter: Lily Ortiz of Seymour, a son Nathaniel Ortiz of Seymour, a sister: Lori Ann Bruce of California and his former wife: Amy Zybort.
