Ray Haase was born and grew up in Yonkers NY in 1949 and was a resident of White Plains, NY for over 40 years until his recent death on August 10th. Ray dutifully took good care of his ageing parents in his co-op apartment for many years until they died in the late 1980’s. Ray’s Sister Carol and her husband Jim moved to Pennsylvania in the 1970’s where they still live today. Ray’s Nephew’s (Eric & Jimmy) and Niece (Kristen) also live in the Lancaster PA area .

Ray Haase will be lovingly remembered by Family and Friends as a Kind and Gentle man who was generous and thoughtful and only spoke positively when engaged in conversation. Ray was a man of very modest means but would never turn down a request for assistance from any hard luck people in White Plains. Ray was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He would never turn down anyone in need. Ray’s was an extremely kind person

Ray enjoyed watching NFL football and was a huge fan of the NY Giants. Ray was always very proud of the Giants Championships and suffered with Giant losses. While he watched other NY sports teams play, Ray was absorbed with NFL Football and the NY Giants. I’m sure Ray will continue watching the Giants from a good location in heaven.

Ray had some college growing up and was very intelligent and knowledgeable in many subjects. He was an avid reader and absorbed information like a sponge. Ray worked for many years at Westchester Medical Center where he worked in the corporate office with many administrative duties. Ray retired early due to medical issues.

Ray was very active at the Gym for many years and had good friends who recognized Ray as a very special person who would help anyone. Unfortunately, health matters prohibited Gym activity during the last 5 years of Ray’s life.
