Raymond Earl “Mac” McCaslin, 95, Anderson, passed away December 7, 2009 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a brief illness. He was born July 27, 1914 in New Haven, Connecticut, and resided in Anderson since 1975. Mac graduated from Washington High School in 1933 and Indiana University in 1940.

He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He retired in 1979 from Sears after 33 years of service. He was the manager for 18 years in Indianapolis, 4 1/2 years in Akron, Ohio, 4 1/2 years in Springfield, Ohio and 4 years in Anderson.

He was a member of the Adanriam Joppa Masonic Lodge #519 F.& A.M. of Akron, Ohio, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Temple Shrine, Sigma Pi Fraternity of IU, a lifetime member of the Anderson Chamber of Commerce, Noon Kiwanis, past president of Anderson Country Club, United Way supporter for many years and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his son, Michael McCaslin of Pendleton and nieces and nephews, Sharon Hughes of Traverse City, Michigan, Bonnie McCaslin of Empire, Michigan, Jeff McCaslin of Walnut Creek, California, Nancy Harris of Conroe, Texas, Philip Swank of Anderson and Annie Swank of Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite L. McCaslin; infant daughter, Marta Ann McCaslin; parents, Raymond Ernest & Agnes Marie Kerr McCaslin; brothers, Gerald Edwin McCaslin and Kenneth Moore McCaslin.
