Raymond Day, “Manido Asin” meaning “Pipestone Man” age 63, of the Marten Clan and from Onigum, Minnesota journeyed to the spirit world from his home in Onigum on August 26, 2022, with his son, Albert by his side. He was born the son of John and Gladys Day on June 14, 1959, in Cass Lake.
He attended school in Walker, graduating in 1977. After graduation Raymond attended Bemidji State University for three years. Raymond married Ernestine Fairbanks-Day and shared over twenty wonderful years together. He loved his family and friends and would help with anything that needed to be done. Raymond enjoyed watching sports, he followed the Vikings, Timberwolves, and the Twins. Raymond also enjoyed listening to music, especially Johnny Cash, Elvis and the The Doors.
Family that welcomes Raymond to the spirit world are his parents John and Glady and his wife Ernestine and many other relatives.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his son, Albert Kingbird II” and his large Day and Fairbanks family members of the Onigum and Leech Lake area.
