Raymond Weaver, 98, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Franciscan Health Lafayette.

He was born in Frankfort, to the late George and Lucy Ann Weaver.

George married Peggy Pedigo who preceded him in death in 2015. Together they had 6 children, Mary Jane Weaver, of Oregon, Suzanne Thompson of Colorado, Richard (Lea) Weaver of Clarks Hill, Connie (James) Wright also from Clarks Hill and Sandy (Lyle McQuern) Tillotson of Rossville. Grandchildren, Nadine Weaver, Bobby Wright, Melissa (Ross) Bucher, Mendy (Stan) Collins, Cassie Rayn, Felicia Tillotson and John Frazier. He also has several Great Grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by a son, Charles Allen Weaver, a grandson, Arron Morrow and a sister, Mary Snell.

Raymond was a carpenter for National Homes until it’s closing. He then was Carpenter Plant Forman at New Century Homes until his retirement. He was a volunteer fireman for the Clarks Hill Fire Department and had served as the Clarks Hill Town Marshall.

His hobbies included fishing and hunting especially coyotes and deer. He would put out a huge garden to give friends and Peggy food to can and freeze. His fruit trees provided more canning and pies. Raymond enjoyed NASCAR, watching nature, big band music, and train shows. He loved sitting outside watching the squirrels.
