Schehl, age 81, of Salem, Ohio, died Sunday morning, December 2, 2012 at his home. He was born December 28, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania, the son of the late, John Jr. and Rose (Beers) Schehl. Ray retired from Carriage Hill in 1990 and had previously worked at Hunt Valve for 4 years and Sterling of Salem for 17 years. He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church and had been choir director at the church, St. Patrick Catholic Parish in Leetonia and at St. Mary and St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Conneaut, Ohio. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #1818, Father Kermet Assembly (4th Degree Honor Guard), Auxiliary Police for 17 years & chief for 5 years, member of the Salem Order of Eagles Lodge #316, Salem Saxon Lodge – Branch #18, U.C.T.
