Raymond Baskin Hammond, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Concordia Nursing Home in Fayetteville, GA. He was born August 15, 1935 in Bremen, GA to Carl Hammond and Lela Cook Hammond. Raymond is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dilbeck Hammond; son, Kevin Hammond; one grandchild and his brother Joseph Hammond. Raymond honorably served his country in the United States Army from June of 1958 until he was honorably discharged in June of 1960. During his time in the military, Raymond earned the good conduct medal and expert medal with the rifle.
