McNew, Ray. Age 85. August 7, 2009 of Rockwood. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy nee: Lewen. Loving father of Joyce (Kermit) Jacobs, Barbara (Sig) Laubenstein, Tim (Patricia), Virginia (Larry) Vincen and Debra (Matthew) Manning. Dearest grandpa of Joel, Keith, Kyle, Jennifer, Lori, Chelsea, Chris and Eric. Great grandpa of 12. Also survived by 2 sisters Mayola Thompson and Lolas (Homer) Ely and 2 sisters-in-law Ruth McNew and Marigold VandeCar. Preceded in death by his parents Alvis and Florence; 2 sisters Elsie Lane and Rosetta Sutton and 1 brother Boyd. Ray was a member of the Rock of Gibraltar VFW Post 4230 and was proud of his service in the Navy during WWII. He loved deer hunting and fishing. Ray was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family.
