Ray Larry Humpherys, our beloved family patriarch and leader, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Ray was born to Clem and Rose Humpherys on February 25, 1938 in Paris, Idaho. Ray graduated from Fielding High School in Paris in 1956. He attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah on a basketball scholarship. Ray returned home to help on the family farm and start a career. He spent two years serving his country in the Army.
He married the love of his life, Marlene Nye, on November 11, 1962. Together they raised four children at their family home in Montpelier, Idaho. Due to Ray’s work opportunities, his family adventures started quickly with a three year stay in Australia and a six month stay in Israel.
