Rankin Kenneth Traylor, age 96, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Born in Hern, TX on February 1, 1915, he was the son of Robert Keith Traylor and Lula Biggs Traylor. The last surviving grandson of Josiah Claiborne Traylor, Ken had been a longtime resident of Kendall County and a lifetime member of the Methodist Church. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Boerne for over 60 years, he had also been a member of the Boerne Lions Club for many years. Preceded in death by his wife, Violet Estelle McCrocklin Traylor in 1962, children, Malcolm Traylor, Timothy Dwight Traylor, and Dennis Todd Traylor, 1 half brother, 1 half sister, 7 brothers, and 1 sister, Ken is survived by children, Robert Traylor, Patricia Whitworth (Woody), Michael Traylor (Bonnie), Beatrice Winegardner, Brian Traylor (Minnie), and Lenora Center (Jimmy); 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
