On Monday, October 18, 2021, Randy Wade Wilder, 61, passed away unexpectedly in Canon City, Colorado. Randy was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado to William H. Wilder and Margaret A. McClendon on August 17, 1960.

Randy married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte L. Gribble on February 16, 1979. He was a cowboy through and through, starting at a ranch in Ordway, Colorado. Randy went on to a ranch in Trinchera, Colorado, then a ranch in Walden, Colorado, and another in Eagle, Colorado. While ranching, Randy and Charlotte raised their two sons and daughter. Randy had a knack for working with young horses and working cows. He loved his family more than anything and took a lot of pride in raising them on the ranch. In the fall of 1997, Randy and his family moved to Canon City, doing construction and landscaping, eventually going to work for the gold mine in Cripple Creek in the summer of 2000. This is where Randy spent the remainder of his career operating equipment, mainly running shovel loading trucks. When not at work, he loved working around his house or just tinkering in the garage, while teaching his grandsons to do the same and loved every minute.

Randy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlotte Wilder of Canon City; children, Justin Wilder of Colorado, Billy Wilder of Montana, Echo (Aaron) Hawkins of Colorado; sister, Holly Wilder of Aurora; grandchildren, Rita, Philip, Wyatt, Jake, Landon, Tyrell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Wilder; and his sister, Roxanne Smith.
