Randy Lynn Emberton

August 17, 1953 – March 27, 2021

Randy Lynn Emberton of Sheridan, Arkansas took his  journey home Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the age of 67. Randy was the third child of the late Glen and Pat Emberton of Sheridan. He was born August 17, 1953 in England, Arkansas. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan.

Randy was well known by his friends for being a great guitar player. At the age of 16 he started his own band with his brother Tommy in his sisters extra bedroom playing songs like “Proud Mary” and “The” House of the Rising Sun”. Later he played guitar for The Happy Rhythms gospel group.

Before becoming ill, Randy had his own business, E-Com Communications, installing computers and phone systems all across the United States.

Randy had the ability to make people laugh. He never forgot a joke, even in the last hours of his life, he kept us laughing with his jokes.

Randys’ greatest joy in his life was being Dad to his three sons and “Pop-Pop” to his five grandchildren.  He started teaching his boys at an early age about the Lord.  He also taught them about hunting and fishing.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tommy Emberton, a very special niece, Lisa Cotton, nephew, Richie Cotton, and sister-in-law, Brenda Emberton.

Survivors include his sons, Noble Emberton (Brandi), Nolan Emberton (Laken), and Noah Emberton, all of Sheridan; the love of his life and mother of his sons, Missy Barnes Emberton of Sheridan; sister, Sandra Cotton (Jerry) of Sheridan; brothers, Jerry Emberton of Branson, Missouri, and Clayton Emberton of Sheridan; grandchildren, Noelle, Ashlyn, Baleigh, Lane, and Mariah.
